Senior Supervisor
O. Zulkarnain S. Tihurua

Zul Tihurua is a lecturer in Anthropology at the A.M. Sangadji State Islamic University (UIN) in Ambon. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Human Geography at the University of Leeds, England.

Her research focuses on socio-ecological phenomena in coastal areas and small islands, with particular attention to how local communities interact with their living environment and develop adaptive strategies to social and ecological changes.
Through academic and research activities, Zul seeks to deepen understanding of the relationship between humans, space, and culture in the archipelago of Eastern Indonesia, while simultaneously encouraging the development of knowledge that supports the sustainability and local wisdom of coastal communities.

Muzdhalifah R. Aminudin

Muzdhalifa is an educator at a Vocational High School (SMK) in Maluku. With an academic background in Computer Science and Economics, Muzdhalifa combines technology, management, and sustainability approaches in her teaching and learning process.

As an educator active in environmental issues, she frequently participates in green education activities in schools, environmental awareness campaigns in communities, and promotes the integration of sustainability values ​​into vocational education. Muzdhalifa believes that education plays a crucial role in shaping a young generation that cares about and is responsible for the environment.

M. Yusuf Sangadji

Muhammad Yusuf Sangadji, or commonly known as Nowen, is an alumnus of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Pattimura University (Unpatti), who is known as a professional diver with a focus on coastal and small island issues in the Maluku Islands and Eastern Indonesia.

Born and raised on a small island, Nowen grew up with a strong affinity for the sea and the life of coastal communities, which later shaped his views on the importance of maintaining a balance between humans and their living space.

As the former Chair of the Indonesian Student Divers Forum (FoMI), Nowen played an active role in building networks among young divers in various regions to raise awareness of the importance of preserving the ocean.

Nowen's commitment to preserving coral reef ecosystems led Nowen in 2018 to initiate Karang Nusantara, a coral reef protection campaign movement in the Maluku Islands that emphasizes the important role of local communities in preserving marine resources. From the spirit of this initiative, Yusuf then founded Jala Ina, an empowerment and collaboration platform that focuses on education, conservation, and strengthening the capacity of coastal communities, in maintaining the sustainability of the coast, sea, and small islands. Through Jala Ina, Nowen encourages the realization of the preservation of the Indonesian archipelago in a democratic and equitable manner as a guarantee of the sustainability of shared living spaces, in order to achieve environmental, economic, and social justice for coastal communities and small islands.

Yuniar Sakinah Waliulu

Yuniar Waliulu is a lecturer in the Communication Studies Program at Pattimura University. She specializes in public and social communication, with a focus on media literacy and environmental communication. Throughout her academic career, Yuniar has been actively involved in various research activities, community service, and educational campaigns related to raising public awareness of the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable development. Through her role as an educator and researcher, she is committed to fostering a critical, literate, and ecologically aware young generation.

Research and Advocacy Manager
Abdul Muit Pelu

Muit Pelu is an alumnus of the Faculty of Law at Pattimura University (Unpatti) and is known for her deep concern for advocacy, human rights, and environmental issues. As a nature lover, Muit has long been concerned with the relationship between humans and nature, as well as the importance of maintaining ecological balance through legal and social approaches.

Before returning to Maluku, Muit worked at the Bandung Legal Aid Institute (LBH), where she participated in various advocacy activities for marginalized communities and legal assistance for vulnerable groups. This experience enriched her perspective on the fight for social justice, particularly in the areas of environmental protection and indigenous peoples' rights.
Through its commitment and experience, Muit continues to strive to encourage the birth of development policies and practices that are just, pro-poor, and ecologically sustainable.

Education and Conservation Manager
Rafly Kibas

(Rafly Kibas is a marine and fisheries activist who focuses on empowering coastal fishermen and sustainable marine resource management in eastern Indonesia. As an Education and Conservation Manager, Rafly has extensive field experience in assisting coastal communities to strengthen their capacity to face the challenges of resource management and adaptation to environmental change.

Through education and conservation activities, Rafly strives to bridge science and local wisdom to achieve democratic and equitable conservation of the Maluku archipelago. His commitment is rooted in a vision to make marine conservation a path to environmental, economic, and social justice, while ensuring the sustainability of shared living spaces for coastal communities.

Fatimah Mulyadi

An alumnus of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences dedicated to coastal and marine environmental conservation. With a strong scientific background and field experience, he actively initiates and manages campaigns focused on marine ecosystem preservation and the empowerment of coastal and small island communities.

As Campaign Manager, I am committed to building an inclusive, data-driven public movement to promote equitable policies for the environment and communities. Achieving democratic preservation of the Indonesian archipelago by ensuring that coastal communities' voices are a key part of the decision-making process.

Finance Manager
Dwi Sakina

Dwi Sakina is a graduate of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences at Pattimura University (Unpatti) and is deeply dedicated to environmental issues and the sustainability of coastal resources. Her educational background has shaped her into a person sensitive to the dynamics of marine ecosystems and the challenges facing coastal communities.

She has a deep interest in the empowerment of coastal communities, particularly fisherwomen, who play a crucial yet often marginalized role in the fisheries value chain. Her focus extends beyond ecological aspects to social justice, community capacity building, and marine environmental protection.
